When or if I get home tomorrow, I will have traveled 3,000 mi in 6 days. A few friends and family cant believe I went by myself. I didnt. I took pics so you could be with me. I enjoyed talking to you on the road as I told you where I was and you called me names and gave me threats. One asked me to get fresh fruit and I said I did...my favorite...Gummi Worms! I saw alligators, egrets, lizards, flowers, yachts, and cascading mountain waters. I saw pelicans, seagulls, Porches, Lambos, ice formations, an early morning storm on the island, a new waitress starting a job, and the sunrise on the Atlantic. I met a cleaning lady from Wisconsin, a landscaper from Nashville, IN, a hotel clerk from Maryland, a hat salesman from Colorado, and a boisterous electrical maintenance man from Buffalo, NY. I saw a little girl help fill my sweet tea, a people crazy raven, and a toll booth operator help a guy lost get back on track without charging him $6 and an old friend, in a shop late at night, making his living by doing what he loves. I heard the crashing of waves, the silent mountain stillness, kids laughing while riding on a school bus and an older couple say I love you while holding hands walking in the surf. Now, Im not Johnny Cash or Forrest Gump by any means. But I saw enough to make me happy. It was an awesome week. Its all good! I dont wanna come back!!
