When our leaders screw up, activists call them out on it, - TopicsExpress

When our leaders screw up, activists call them out on it, rightfully so. This freedom for us to criticize our leaders is perhaps the #1 thing that makes our country great. But when our leaders do good, not enough is said, IMO. Recently, I think the supreme court got something right, for a change. They just said cell phones are private property. Duh. As a result, police can’t “steal” our cell phones just because they are curious anymore. Now most people wouldn’t include the supreme court justices as “leaders,” but, at the end of the day, they are actually are our highest of leaders, and constitute one of the three independent branches of government in our checks and balances democracy. Since they interpret law, they determine the fate of all individuals via the precedent they hand down. Not only must all other courts adhere to this precedent for similar future cases, but so too must all citizens in this nation, since we are all subject to our laws and under a constant although usually implicit threat of going to court over even the tiniest of issues and, arguably, non-issues ( amazon/Three-Felonies-Day.../dp/1594035229 ). So, thank you Bryan for sharing this, and, if any of the justices at scotus are reading my facebook page, thank you, and hats off to you, for getting one right. Well done. So, thank you Bryan for sharing this, and, if any of the justices at scotus are reading my facebook page, thank you, and hats off to you, for getting one right. Well done.
