When people are training for bikini, physique, figure or bodybuilding. Remember: Its not how much weight you can move. Moving lots of weight is great and it does serve a purpose to increase strength but it does little for actual muscle fiber growth! Muscle growth is best achieved when you are using full range of motion! Did you know that you need at least 45 seconds of time under tension for Maximum hypertrophy (a.k.a muscle growth)?! During training you should be focusing on contracting your muscles and trying to develop a strong mind-muscle connection- this will not only help you gain muscle, but will help your posing and bring in that detail that is so crucial :) Also as you lean out for a show your joints are in a critical state and you can easily injure yourself without the extra body fat! Just some thoughts as people continue their preps for the ECC. Train smarter not harder! 7 weeks out :D :D .
