When people dont know who they are they tend to become a Self Fulfilling Prophecy. Those who study psychology are familiar with the term. Self-fulfilling Prophecy is were a person behaves in a way they believe people expect them to act... Sometimes even fulfilling steriotypes. For example, youre black you should be loud and ghetto. Youre a black man from East St Louis you should be a thug. Youre a light skin woman you should be stuck up. Youre a woman with a big butt, you should be a hoe, attention-hungry, or a stripper.... If you dont find your identity, you will find yourself fulfilling others expectations. Just because the feedback is positive doesnt justify the behavior.
