When prayers are just empty words! If while in prayer we focus more on submission and obedience to God rather than what we want God to do with our lives, we would find that is His desire to do many of those things with our life but He is limited by the lack of our submission and obedience. Example: We may often pray that God will lead us in His will. This is what God already wants to do and is trying to do but because of the lack of our submission and obedience he is unable to do so so therefore our focus is on the symptom and not the problem. The symptom is we are not walking in the will of God but the problem is the lack of submission and obedience to God. The difference is praying according to our will vs. the will of God.
