When running Rainbow Rabbits its sometimes nice to be a little silly and try to take a bit of a break from the rubbish stuff that we inevitably have to deal with. The weekend was great fun but it doesnt mean we werent still working hard to care for all our special bunnies, and unfortunately we can never completely escape the reality of what we do. After Tazs amazing concert yesterday we sadly found Siadwell lying on his side refusing to move. We already knew that his abscess is continuing to grow but until now he had remained bright. We gave him all his meds and thankfully he did pick up and start eating. He is still eating but is not right. The water bowl has barely been touched and the litter tray far too clean. My heart breaks for him, I can see in his eyes that he is trying to fight so hard but that he is finding it a huge struggle. He has an appointment Friday, if he makes it that far I am not sure he will come home from it :( Also Geoff has deteriorated greatly over the weekend. He is normally a stocky bunny but it seems like he has suddenly lost all his weight quite literally over night :( He is still eating well and remains lively enough but given the current temperatures being just skin and bone is not good. Anyone who has followed Geoff over the years will know why we havent moved him inside, as much as we would love too. He is going crazy for parsley at the moment so I will use his santa pennies to buy him a plentiful supply this week :) If either of these two makes it to Christmas it will be nothing short of a miracle. But Chritsmas is the time for Miracles so we havent given up hope just yet xx
