When sailing you begin the day with clear guidelines: check the weather; examine the rigging; assign crew assignments; chart your course; and have contingency plans for foul weather and other mishaps. Similarly, begin your day with clear plans for your day: accept that people, like weather, are ever changing and variable from pleasant to stormy; it is not personal. Examine your surroundings and circumstances. The rigging can need attention, care, investment. So does life. Like assignments to the crew know in advance how you are going to act. Behave independent of others and do not react to stressful situations. Be a calm Skipper! Now, chart your course and be prepared for adjustments! Safe sailing and fair winds!
