When secular people have meaningful dreams about our loved ones - TopicsExpress

When secular people have meaningful dreams about our loved ones who have died, we are able to balance our emotion with reason. And we deserve support when we do. Rebecca writes: My father has been dead a year and eight months now and I recently had my first dream of him. He was happy, healthy and a strapping man in his late 40s with his stunning, icy blue eyes, not the decrepit 74 year old man I had seen last. He hugged me and I knew he was ok. When I shared this with my best friends who believes in God and angels she was so excited and positive that this would be the proof I needed to believe along with her. It isnt, it wont be and it makes me not want to share my joy over this dream with anyone because they want to rationalize it in a way that makes sense to them instead of just saying that they are happy for me. I share it here because I know this group of people will understand the beauty of now being able to remember my beloved father in the way that he would want me to remember him. I want to be able to talk about my father on MY terms. Please like to show empathy and compassion.
