When some of my friends found out I was writing a book they asked why a novella and not a full novel. It comes down to a personal choice that I thought long and hard about. So what is the Witches Amulet Series about? Two flawed beings finding love and acceptance saving the world. The twist is my characters do not shift into a more human form, well the gargoyles don’t. I am in an interracial relationship and I believe you love someone because of who they are not because of who you want them to be. So if you fall in love with a gargoyle, you should love him for him not in a human form. Its also about the elements and how they work together to bring harmony to the world. I am a pagan by choice and believe that without a balance in the world everything will fall so I took this part of myself and weaved it into my series. Each species was given power over an element and tasked with making sure the energies in the world stay balanced. So there is acceptance, balance and of course evil. Greed and a sense of righteousness have caused whole kingdoms to fall. My antagonists are witches, human women who have held onto their magical abilities. They seek to bring evil back into the world believing they will be made into gods. This whole series will focus on the gargoyle society and the five women who are charged with changing the fate of the world. I will touch on a little bit of everything from M/F, M/M, to M/F/M. This is after all a society and like any society there are different needs for different people. What elements do you think creates a great society in a book or movie?
