When someone appears out of nowhere and promises to be everything you ever wanted...it is natural to doubt ...when that same someone acts in a way that show their intentions match their words...it is natural to fear...when Life has been unfair and youve had to build walls to survive, when youve been taught over and over that Loving anything means that it will break you, hurt you and leave...it is understandable to stop Loving... But you know what...every once in a great while...Dreams do come true...beliefs that we gave up on become real...and hearts that froze and hardened from pain, thaw and beat again...I know the abject fear that comes with that moment...the first time feeling the dead space inside you start beating again...I know it because of YOU...the first time you looked into my eyes and smiled...my heart beat for the first time in forever and every time since it skipps a beat when you smile at me...I too had given up on happily ever after...and then you happened...and ive thanked God every day since...Honey...I cant promise this will be an easy trip...life may never be all wine and roses, but Ill promise you this...as long as you want me here, as long as youll let me...im not going anywhere...the most important promise I ever made was that no matter what, Ill always make it home...and through hell on earth and the fires of chaos, pain and blood and fear...I have never broken that promise...my heart is yours for the taking, and you know I believe that Home is where the heart is...-M3
