When something is broken, it needs to be healed in order to be strong again, in order to be functional again, in order to reclaim power. The Helping Hearts 2 Heal conference that The Alan Blueford Center For Justice & The Alan Blueford Foundation held for mothers & families who have lost a loved one to violence was about healing. We focused on the Mothers at this conference because of their position of power & importance & influence in our communities; if you want to unravel a family/community, take out their matriarch. We cannot sit by and watch our mothers & our families being destroyed by police terror & by community violence.
