When something tragic happens, you find out how those you surround - TopicsExpress

When something tragic happens, you find out how those you surround yourself with REALLY feel. I never knew how many people on my friends list, and how many people I worked beside were racist. I set my 3 year old down on the table beside me while I was getting my food together, and a woman who works in my building stated that somebody would have said something to me had that been a black baby. A woman gave me her seat on the bus as I was getting ready to topple over, and a teenage girl expressed how white people always expect special treatment. (Im 7 1/2 months pregnant). Friends of all ethnicities--AKA YOU guys--are posting hate articles and videos, pitting blacks against whites (and obviously, vice versa). I guess that just shows how naive I am to simply not KNOW how people truly felt =/ If the color of my skin or my intolerance of racial prejudice (from and against ALL people, regardless of their ethnicity) bothers you, then please, feel free to delete me. Im sure someone will find something to debate about in what I just stated, and I feel sorry for you if you do. But I will not be engaged.
