When speaking with a local Muslim follower today, I became a bit - TopicsExpress

When speaking with a local Muslim follower today, I became a bit disgusted with where the subject matter that we drifted into right off the bat. It would seem to many that Islams king and subject of worship, Muhammad is portrayed as an deity of infallible wisdom and most of the rather detestable parts of his personality are always left out when Im given the speech about how peaceful the religion is. Truthfully, Muhammad was a pedo, a tyrant and a warlord who used his barbaric influence to flourish the religion worldwide. Not only did Muhammad most likely not even know how to read and write, but even if he did, the Quran is not a book without evil and morally reprehensible passages. The conversation usually goes in the same direction each time, but I decided to go for the king in the chess game, and ask him why he could so easily excuse Muhammad marrying and doing disgusting things with a girl who was 9 years old. How it was that he could be excused for this because these were different times and the culture was much different. This does not excuse him being worshiped in the 21st century where this level of behavior is a crime. If you are willing to turn the other cheek to these portions of his personality, then this says a great deal about your morals and beliefs as a follower in 2014. Not only is it not a religion of peace, but it is a religion centered around a fanatical tyrant who cannot even be personified in satire, and by all means cant be spoken of negatively for the vile, evil things he committed. To these things I say bullshit, and I will continue to challenge these messengers of peace anytime I see them on the streets of my town, indoctrinating impressionable people with their oppressive, bullying babble. If people never stand up to this garbage, forward motion in this society to actual positive change will never occur.
