When starting a business, there is always a choice to be made - will you be a leader or will you be a follower? Will you be a trendsetter or will you follow other peoples trends? Being a follower does not necessarily mean you have to be a copy. You can still come up with creative ideas and make something your own. But if copying is the path you choose, then you will always be a step behind as your creativity is dependent on another - it is not yours. So get those creative juices flowing and make sure that even if you are a follower, no one can look at your business and say ... that looks and sounds a lot like XYZ. So be a leader, be a follower but do not turn into a copy cat!
