When studying, the most common tendency for us, Accountancy students, is to answer the problem solving questions first and then later (if theres time left) leave the review/study of the theory ones to the type of learning oriented towards rote memory recall. We think that theory is subsidiary to problem solving. We tend to discount foundation in favor of the instant learning benefits of problem solving. I think this non-strategic approach is characteristic of the overall attitude we have towards education in general -- as the fast lane to employment, as cramming of as many facts in our heads as our limits allow, as a mere requirement of society. This, however, is not how we should learn the nitty gritty of a profession as esteemed as Accountancy. So mag-theory questions muna tayo. #AccountancyProblems #hugot #FacebookPa
