When the penny drops you often realise that you knew all along...that some people are weak as well as two faced. That they only share half truths, they only tell you the bits they want you to know ; and they tell you their constant woes seeking sympathy....as a distraction from not being straightforward and sincere. They compartmentalise their lives and their truth showing a different one of their faces as and when it suits. As has been said before rather than get upset that your trust and friendship has been abused and maligned...far better to detach, break free and move on with your life. Be thankful you are not like them and know that being kind, honest and trusting will occasionally attract the unworthy...but that is no reason to stop being you. Learn, grow and strengthen... and above all learn to choose your friend wisely. When looking for the best in life dont rub shoulders with anything but the best.
