When the revelation came down on our beloved Prophet (saw), he went home scared telling his wife, “I fear for myself”. Khadija replied, “Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, you benefit (help) the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving, calamity-afflicted ones.” Subhanna Allah! Reflect on her answer again...what a righteous woman! Her response is a lesson for all our sisters who have lost sight of their marriage after letting the chaos of life, money and children all come in the way of their love, trust, and support for their husbands. Khadijah won a special place in the Prophets heart because of her support of him and total trust. Let not marriage be a scripted movie where everyone just plays a role. Let your marriage be a worship, a sacrifice, and a reminder of Allahs blessing on you. Dear sisters...be like Khadijah!
