When the team who wrote Evita split up, the composer needed lyrics - TopicsExpress

When the team who wrote Evita split up, the composer needed lyrics for his next show and he turned to a book of poems the great poet T.S.Elliot wrote as nursery rhymes to entertain his nieces. The result was Cats. The lyricist, of course, needed his new lyrics set to music, and he turned to the former members of ABBA for help. The result was a lesser known, but amazing, musical called Chess. If you havent heard of it, youve probably heard at least one song from it before: One Night In Bangkok. Some lyrics from my favorite song in the musical, Nobodys on Nobodys Side: Never make a promise or plan; Take a little love when you can. Never stay too long in your bed; Never lose your heart, use your head. Never take a strangers advice; Never let a friend fool you twice. Never stay a minute too long; Dont forget the best will go wrong. Never be the first to believe; Never be the last to deceive. Never make a promise or plan; Take a little love when you can.
