When there are no more words to say, only facts remain to “speak up”. Traveling to Romania can be a unique experience. There are plenty of things to see, like painted monasteries, like wood churches, or explore and hike, visit the bears reservation or bird watch in Danube Delta where you can spot wild horses, too. In between these visits, you will see lots of strays. It starts from Bucharest, where plenty dogs is roaming around. Going by car, you can consider yourself lucky if you see only 2-3 dead dogs’ bodies at the edge of the road. If you will see all these street dogs, needing more people to care – and wonder what you can do for them, we remind you that every little gesture, action coming from your big heart helps. You can take action and help our dogs from shelters in various ways. Remaining indifferent is the worst. You can adopt, donate, volunteer, sponsor at distance a dog, share our stories. It can be a visit to our shelters, where you shall expect a VIP welcoming – about 600 dogs wagging tails, barking, sending you the same message –they do not want to be forgotten by people, they want and would deserve a home. Hege and her daughter, Ingrid are ROLDA important supporters from Norway. They decided to travel about 3 hours by plane from Oslo and another 3 by car from Bucharest to Galati to be for a few days in the middle of the action, near our dogs. I am very proud and grateful to both of them for doing this for ROLDA!
