When these viral hoax cases pop up, Im always thinking that I hope people get their donations refunded or something, but in this case its the welfare of a little girl at stake, who has only been - and now continues to be - a victim. First, 3 out of 10 of her grandfathers pit bulls nearly kill the poor girl, now some members of her family are using her in this way. I hope Child Services (or whatever the dept. is called) investigates the hell out of them, if they havent already. I would hope that some legal authority at least can ensure that the money goes only to the girl and her care. And that the plastic surgeon planning to donate his services doesnt back out. Id be interested in hearing if the familys motivation in all of this was solely to get the money to pay for their daughters health care? If it was genuinely that, it makes for an interesting story about the choices people make when it comes to affording care in this country.
