When thinking of a new years resolution, dont dismiss the small things. For example, a common resolution is to loose weight by summer but after a months, most big resolutions have been long forgotten. So rather than trying to loose 30 lbs by summer or convert to a restricting diet, think of things you would change to help you obtain that goal. Some ideas could be to stop drinking soda and energy drinks; bring home prepared lunches and snacks to work; have restaurants split a plate so you can share it or take it home. Small goals are easier to obtain, which provides positive reinforcement. Bigger changes will naturally occur because you will feel better and be empowered. Kelly Eddington an art teacher and renowned artist, said she dedicated 1 hour per day, for 2 years, to practice watercolor.
