When tragedy struck in my old area of Longview, Texas I posted on Facebook first to offer my prayers to the grieving families. Then I got on my knees to pray for the entire community. Last I offered what I felt was ideas to keep this from continuing to happen. When a man look in the mirror will he see in the reflection a man that has done all that he can to live up to the creed In my house we will serve the Lord. Many times the victims and the people actually doing violent crimes come from fatherless homes. Have I been a perfect dad. NO. But every waking moment I spend asking God to make me a better father and a better man along with being a better Christian leader within my church and community. God blessed me with great daughters. Some by biology and some not by biology. But I have done the best that I knew how. Being that I was raised by a strong woman. But as strong as a strong woman is she cannot teach you how to be a strong responsible Christian man. Maybe the United States Marine Corps taught me. I dont know. But at 64 Im still trying to get better. Today while I was out shopping my blood sugar level dropped to 35 and I passed out. The paramedic said that an alert store employee talking to me and a strong inner strength kept me from going into a coma. I say it was God. But if I would have passed on. What kind of legacy would I have left? What kind of legacy are you leaving? Be Blessed.
