When u have an international airport at one place; there is always a clause in the MOU of the airport construction contract that there shldnt be any airport within 100-150 KMs distance even domestic airport; This is because international airport construction takes more time , more cost and they dont want the occupancy will be an issue and hence they dont want an airport atleast within 100-150 KMs atleast the domestic one thats the reason when shashabad airport was constructed, this clause was added and begumpet not even was permitted to be a domestic airport; and for all domestic flights as well, ppl r going to shashabad; i dont know how this feasible to have 4 airports within a distance of 100 - 150 KMs like how babu announced (Thadepallygudem, Vijayawada, Guntur and Ongole :) ) :D and media is GAGA about it without even understanding the practicalities of such a plan :)
