When using Noethers theorem in order to derive the energy momentum - TopicsExpress

When using Noethers theorem in order to derive the energy momentum tensor, I asumme that a translation in space-time x, doesnt affect the form of the fields u (generator in representation of functions= 0), why should I assume this? For example, if I have a scalar u, a transformation in the coordinates x, implies a transformation in the form of the function in order to compensate the coordinate transformation, and maintain the numerical value of the scalar.
