When was the last time you invested in you? For most who are - TopicsExpress

When was the last time you invested in you? For most who are reading this, we spend so much time investing in others and not enough on ourselves. (Or perhaps the oppose but I digress). We have kids that need us, bosses, clients, teachers, coaches, friends, etc that we want to please. We want to be the person that meets their needs. After a while of investing in others and not yourself, however, we start to feel like someone who always shows up at the gas station and puts more gas into others tanks than our own. We feel this is noble, and it may very well be. The problem is when we keep that pace and not putting enough in our own tanks in order to keep pushing us forward. We end up stagnant, stuck, uninspired. At that point, we keep filling others tanks but we dont feel noble anymore. Now we feel resentful and ashamed that we feel that way. We could step back and see the problem, but we are just too busy. BS! You were designed to work and contribute, however, you were also designed to crave rest and some measure of fun. Invest in you! Buy a book that you want to read, a movie you want to watch, schedule a trip that you have wanted to go on, take your spouse on that date that you have been taking about! Investing in you is the only way to keep the pace that you desire AND continue feeling empowered and motivated!! HAPPY TUESDAY! #OwnTheWeek #DeepThoughtsByShad
