When we ask God for anything in prayer we need to also ask Him to help us realize when He has responded. Otherwise we can keep praying for something He fulfilled long ago. I asked God to help me get closer to Him. He took away the things that were holding me back - my friends and my then job. Without them in my life, I grew exponentially in my faith and my relationship with Him. At first I fought the process but over time I realized it wasnt getting me anywhere but deeper into depression and confusion. Those doors had been supernaturally shut and it was time to move on. So I did and when I did, I got my beauty for ashes. God knows what Hes doing. We may not get it at first but thats ok. If our trust is in Him we will get it eventually.
