When we called ourselves a dystopian society, we didnt just throw the name out there because it sounded cool (it does, by the way). Its high time we started sharing our love for science fiction by recommending some films from time to time. So if you want a good dystopian film to end your Sunday, look no further than Children of Men. Beautifully shot and acted, it is completely free of futuristic sets and gimmicks. Instead, it realistically captures the painful effects that a bloody totalitarian regime would have on man kind. The premise is simple: after 18 years of global human infertility, a pregnant woman is found. A sad film, to say the least, but not bereft of hope.
