When we get so focused on our dreams we tend to get tunnel - TopicsExpress

When we get so focused on our dreams we tend to get tunnel vision.. Tunnel vision is GREAT, but theyre are some bad things about it... Some get to focused, to involved, to much tunnel vision that they start to neglect everything else except that dream.. Now if youre single then more power to you, go head with that extreme tunnel vision, if you dont have kids go head with it, make it happen... But when we have kids and families and we jump into this industry with that same kind of focus, our kids suffer and our marriages suffer... Reason being is we get so caught up in chasing our dreams to be happy that we forget to appreciate the things in our lives that ALREADY make us happy.. We forget to appreciate the here and now... I spent the last year being so focused on my dream that I forgot my Whys.. I neglected my husband, I was so consumed with doing this and him never having to work again, I neglected my children, I was so consumed with giving them everything they ever wanted.. Success in this industry doesnt happen overnight, we must be patient and we must remember the reason were doing all this and make a schedule so that our families dont feel so neglected by our dreams. This year caused alot of pain for my family that I was blinded to because all I could think about was my dream and reaching it... I now realize that and will move forward with just as much passion for chasing my dreams but Im taking a different approach from this point on... Spending the rest of this month mending my family, game planning for 2015 and enjoying and being grateful for what I ALREADY have! If you are doing this and your marriage is falling apart, or your kids feel left out its time you accept some responsibility and find a new plan of action that will bring your family back together while allowing you to still chase those dreams! :) #NewYear #NewPlan #DontLetThemFeelLeftOut
