When we identify with someone or some reality, we are partakers of what happens, what will be glad and what suffers. Nobody suffers so no love. Nobody suffers so ignored. Eye and therefore, out of mind. If not love not suffer what happened to my beloved. A mother is installed next to a bed and seem to get sick with the illness of his son. St. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 11:29 Who among you is sick and Im not sick? This centurion goes so against the current having pain from the disease of his servant. Sometimes love is going against the current. This centurion has a sick servant to death. A centurion (a captain in the Roman army) had to think coolly. It was known that a servant had a role; if for some reason I could not do it, it is thought to replace someone takes your place and need to be covered. Point. Done. The truth is that a servant can be replaced, but a loved one is irreplaceable. It is a reality of life. Each loved one occupies a unique place. A son, a mother, a husband, a friend are beings that if we really love, are not people spare. You know that love brings pain? Because sometimes we resist losing a loved one, the centurion to be, and thats good. The pain becomes ours because we love, and the extraordinary thing is that sometimes we are not obliged to love, can dismiss, but by love, suffer. And suffering, we grow. ... Another reason why we are going against the current is precisely because certain ones do not think changing. That brings us pain and yet, our decision is ... keep loving. More than once my logical mind will tell me - who sent me to have to suffer for this ?, the extra mile but that the Holy Spirit comes into our lives, to love alike. The centurions servant removes the label to take a loved one. Now suffers from ... Jesus looked at us with compassion, identified with us. That love led him to the cross and suffered for love. Love says, Id rather suffer than the person I love. Jesus was no less, but no one said it, he did.
