When we love someone who doesn’t show their love in the same way as we do, it will always feel like a form of rejection. Even if it is no one’s fault. Always being accused of never hugging enough in a relationship. Is it a character flaw on my part or an insecurity issue on theirs? Everyone has a different way of expressing their love. Some give or need constant affection, others make sure you are always provided for. Some love to cook for the ones they love, or do favors, spoil them, or compliment them. There are those whose love comes out in complicated and poetic words or even humor. There will be many people that dont love you throughout your life. There will also be many people who do love us, and want to show us this love, but may not be able to do so in the way we would like. Its important to know the difference between the two, and to be aware of the different types of love there are. We are lucky to have love, in any form, and no way of saying “I love you” should be felt insignificant or not enough.
