When we originally applied for the Lease of Rock Pool Cafe through Teignbridge Council they made it very clear to us that we would be required to incorporate some kind of seaport activity/hire in order to regenerate Coryton Cove and make it a destination people would want to come to. We have invested a huge amount of money in buying kayaks, sups, a safety boat, training two people, having storage built at the back of our building to house the equipment and getting on board the amazing people at Seasports in Teignmouth (who have many years experience in the field) in order to run the venture safely. It is very disappointing when the Council then fail to support us and get behind us but instead put every obstacle in our way and seem to want us to fail in this. It is no wonder that small businesses very rarely make it. DEBBIE HOLMAN
