When we pledge allegiance to the flag, we pledge allegiance to defend all that it represents, including the Republic for which it stands! As Americans, we have duties because peace, security, and liberty come with a price. Not all of us go to the battlefield like Fisk Sorensen and his battle buddies. Some of us stand in the forefront of political debates, like Dennis Mansfield did as the Executive Director of the Idaho Family Forum in the 90s. Our price to pay as our duty may be carving out time to cast our vote in an election, to ensure that men and women of character and integrity are elected to represent us in the State Legislature, on Capital Hill, and in the Oval Office. In Idaho, we have an opportunity to do our duty on Tuesday May 20, to vote in the Primary elections. We have a duty, as Americans, a duty to our country and to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for us to have the right and privilege to vote, to seek out the candidates, ask them questions, find out what they stand for, let them know what we stand for as they want to represent us. People died so that we could be free to enjoy life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness with our family and friends, and live in peace in our home. What will you do to ensure that they did not die in vain?
