When we prayed this morning, Bill prayed patience for me…. At the time I thought, “Have I been cranky this morning, nope, I had my coffee” ………. Bill knew he wasn’t feeling his finest and knew I would need patience with his…….. Non talkative, mood……. Bill is 10 days after transplant. Dana smiled as she told me “He has turned the corner, his body is making platelets. This is big, he is recovering quickly.” YAY!!! Bill is still pretty fatigued, justly so. His body has gone through major trauma. He is still running low grade temp, and a few other side effects. He brought three buddies home with him, 1 liter bag of saline, infuser for his temperature and 1 infuser for his infection. Today I didn’t ask what time to can give the infusers to him. I will hook them up at 8. While we were in infusion, I heard another care giver tell Dana, “My husband has breezed through all of his treatments so far and Bert Elkay is having such a rough time.” “I feel so bad, we have it so easy and they have had it so rough.” My thoughts………. I listen to KLOVE almost every morning, a young women called in yesterday, singing her husband praises. How he cooks dinner almost every night……. She mentions he was deployed and how much she missed his cooking. The radio announcer voice became quiet and said “I’m sorry to hear that” Without missing a beat, the young women said; “Don’t be sorry for me, its God’s plan, everything happens for a reason, now we wait to see what God has planned for us” This made me smile…….. She get it’s it. We all carry some degree of burden, but isn’t that in God’s plan? When we have to fully rely on God is when the greatest things happen. “God is good and tomorrow will be a better day!” Peace and Blessings, Kim Proverb 3: 5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
