When we read the parable of the sower about the seed sown on the - TopicsExpress

When we read the parable of the sower about the seed sown on the side of the road, we really do not wish to be of that type of person, such as, unbelieving or believing in false doctrines or just not caring. The evil one is the one that influences, teaches, or guides a person into the broad way of continuous unrepentant sin. Such a person without realizing it is a servant of Satan. Jesus says that there is a type of person who will reject the seed (the truth) about the kingdom of Christ in the parable of the sower that was sowed on the side of the road. That person will not believe. Let us consider this particular example of the roadside. We know that the field, the road, the types of soils all represents people of the world. Matthew 13:3, “And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow; 13:4 and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up”… 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.”… Matthew 13:19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.” So what do we know about the servants of Satan. They are people who are dangerous. There is no way that they can be taught. It is pointless to go the 2nd mile in teaching them. They make fun of the true God by teaching some kind of false god. They love the earthly world. They love some false doctrine that makes them dangerous. They were proud and arrogant about their knowledge even of the Bible. They enjoy using scriptures again the Scripture to prove a point that is not true. They love to put down Jesus by saying he did not give up his deity to become man because Jesus is only an angel. Matthew 7:6 Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. Everyone understands about the narrow gate. But it seems that many people’s “narrow gate” is an extremely broad gate. The problem is their environment. Who wants to say that their culture is wrong? Who wants to say that they were brought up wrong religiously by their mother and father? Who wants to go against their religious leaders? Who wants to think that their mother and father were wrong and are now lost in eternity? Who wants to reset their minds to study to show their approval by God by seeking the truth without the influence of those traditions that are not true? Matthew 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.” Those who claim to be prophets of God today are very flashy using all kinds of techniques to mesmerize the minds of those who listen to them. They’re so eloquent, thousands will come to see the “false prophets” do what they think are signs and wonders. Matthew 7:15 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” Almost all of the world will use the term “God” in one language or the other, and they profess that they are following the truth. They seem to do many wonderful deeds in the name of Jesus. But they talk about the Holy Spirit much more than they do about Jesus. They claim to cast out demons even though demons do not exist as they did in the first century. They claim to do many signs and wonders even though none can raise the dead or walk on water or restore legs etc. Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock.” So the advice of Jesus is to build our spiritual houses on the words of Jesus Christ and obey them as Christ Jesus sent his apostles and prophets to reveal all the truth that Jesus brought from heaven from the Father, who in turn sent the Holy Spirit to guide the apostles and prophets into all the truth. Let us return to the word of God and ignore men and women who do not teach the truth. Remember that Jesus before He ascended to heaven in Mark 16:15-16 commanded that the apostles and those that follow the apostles to go into all the world preaching the gospel. Jesus said “he that believes and is baptized will be forgiven of their sins” because the gospel is based upon the cross through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since the gospel is the death and burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ then God has commanded us to be buried with Christ in water and raised with him into his body for forgiveness. Love from Don
