When we smother our children we have our back against the world, with our arms around them. If we become so caught up in protecting them (instead of being the vessel placed to protect), we have no way of seeing the arrows coming their way. This causes us to be the ones stabbed in the back. Place your armor on, do not lose focus and stand in front of them in prayer and obedience. Be their warrior. Submission to the Lord is the only way to properly parent our babies. After all, they are His to begin with. (I remembered!) #g2mentoring
