When we take a dog in for private training, the minimum is 6 days for basic obedience. Sometimes we may need a couple of extra days, depending on the dog, but for the most part its 6 days. Naturally if someone wants an off leash more advance dog, it will be a longer period of time. When the people come to pick up the dog, we go over everything the dog has learned and we teach you the hand signals and voice commands and how to do them and we also email all of the instructions to the owners so that they can put it on the refrigerator and refer to it and so that the rest of the family will be on the same page. We are also available for consultation by phone if the need arises and we make it a point to tell each and everyone that if there is any questions, call us. We want to straighten out something before it becomes a real problem. When a dog goes home, it does not mean we stop caring.
