When we take away a lot of the things that we think divide us, we find out how much we have in common. I had lunch with Michael A. Farruggio today, a Republican, a white man, a police officer, a lot of things that I am not. On the surface, and even in some of our Facebook posts, it appears we may dislike each other or we are very different. But Mike came to Blackjackmobile Blackjackmobile, broke bread with me, talked, listened, even decided to work with myself and others to solve the issues that we have here in Charlottesville. Yes, it may be hard for some of us, but at the end of the day WE are all in this TOGETHER! This isnt about politics, race, class, or any differences, its about PEOPLE! WE ALL WANT THE SAME THING, NOW LETS WORK TOGETHER TO GET IT! We can agree to disagree respectfully on somethings, but the longer we stay divided, the longer it will take for our children to live on a better planet! My brother Steven Lewis Warner said to me this morning, I dont want my son growing up in a hateful world. Well to he truthful, NONE of us do! So are we going to fight against each other? Or work with EACH OTHER? What do you choose? If you follow me, or believe in me, or trust me, then WE are going to work WITH ANY AND EVERYONE that wants to work with us. Period!
