When we want to become closer to God and do things that are - TopicsExpress

When we want to become closer to God and do things that are pleasing to him, understanding where to start can be confusing at times. I myself was saved when I was 12 but did not start coming to true understanding until age 54. I think sometimes we have to be completely broken so that God can begin remolding us into what he wants of us as I was after 30 years of an abusive marriage God decided it was enough and rescued me lifting me out of that bondage. We must become completly humble to him and ask him to use us as his earthly vessel to do his work through, for his guidance in all things and the wisdom to hear his voice then listen to him. Are you ready to give up yourself to God, if so Jesus taught us how to conduct our selves. Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
