When we went to Europe on vacation we were introduced to the pay toilets. They charged from 20 to 50 cents to go in, and the money is supposed to be for the cleaning of the restroom. And from what I saw, most of them were very clean. Some of the ladies restrooms even had self-cleaning toilet seats.
