When we were preparing for my father-in-laws funeral last month, my niece Kadi Filkowskis fiance brought us a US Coast Guard flag and pennant that we thought were from Dads Coast Guard days. Finally got a chance to search for them online today and found them!!! First black and white picture shows it displayed back in the era of 1953-1966. Color photos are very similar to his flag/pennant, and the handsome young Seaman is Dad Roger Burgoyne Bowman. Its neat to find out what they are...now we need to mount and display them honorably. We are all very proud of his service to our country.
