When we were younger and lived in August Town, we had the neighbour from hell. She tried to make our lives a misery but Daddy would not have it. As kids, we were afraid of her and her sons but my father was like a mighty river she couldnt cross. Boy did it piss her off when he used to play this song...Nobody go run me, from weh me come from... He wanted her to know the no one was going to chase us away and that we had a right to be there, a right to live in peace, a right to respect. Boy did she hate us. I think up to the point we moved in, she had been used to ruling the roost and doing what she wanted with the neighbours. But she had not reckoned on Daddy standing up to her... One thing, despite the numerous confrontations Daddy had with her, he always insisted that we keep out of it, especially as we got older. He always maintained that it was big people business and that we should always show her respect as she was our elder.
