When written we just got from a trip to Legazpi City because mother volunteered to bring my Aunt Baba and my Uncle Tony to the airport to spend the holidays with my first cousins Tony Boy and Baba Girl. My mother wanted to take advantage of the trip to check if my parents still had their frequent flier miles from Philippine Airlines when they vacationed to the United States several years ago when father was able to walk somewhat by himself. I might have a working vacation next summer. I can go since it is a domestic flight. Anyway my mother lost the fight with PLDT on paying for no service and no connection after six trips to Legazpi to complain. And I was told that Gubat does not have landline telephone connection with PLDT. My father was able to go, so if he remains healthy and is willing, I might get a free vacation next summer. Drive or fly is not decided, just in the checking and planning stage. We ate at the new Kentucky Fried Chicken inside the Pacific Mall and the Smart Bro Pocket Wi-Fi wireless connection worked. On the drive I thought of several reasons the visit of the Pope will be a serious security situation. Since I moved back to my birth country on December 2, 2004, I overheard and read in comments on Yahoo Philippine News such things as a possible war with Thailand or Indonesia and the Muslims at southern Mindanao, which could divide the country, into civil war. Of course today the real threat is the disputed islands with Mainland China. The Italian priest are known to threaten that they could pack up and go back to Rome at anytime because their safety is more important. I hope such extraction measures for the Pope are planned. Any takeover of government a time period is given for foreign citizenship to evacuate to a neutral site. I am stuck here to deal with any given situation because of my parents age and health. I like Chinese food, if China is the number one economy. Australia on the news might cancel the land down under as a refueling location for evacuees. News of OPEC no longer a monopoly could be another conspiracy theory reason.
