When you are a parent and your days are filled with dance lessons, softball practice, cheerleading, football games, homework, and all the rest that comes with children it is hard to take the time to appreciate that you are all under one roof. That holidays, celebrations, or just a day at the beach are spent together. One day, and almost over night that is no longer the case. The house is quiet, there isnt anywhere to race to in the evening, the dishes are always done and there is never a pile of laundry. You havent looked at a math problem, had a house full of your childs friends, or been to a high school football game in years. You then cherish any and every opportunity to get everyone together. Its been a year since my girls, grandbabies and I have been ALL together and I can hardly contain myself. Tonight we celebrate Amys birthday, Ambers Engagement and Ashleys move back to Florida. I wish that 30 years ago someone would have told me that it would all go so fast and the things you found hectic or overwhelming at the time would be some of the things you missed the most. I am one very happy mamma to get the last of my girls from the airport today and let the celebrating and laughter begin!
