When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say. (Luke 12:11-12, NIV) As a kid were you ever sent to the principals office? If so, you may recall sweaty palms and a nervous stomach as you tried to explain your bad behavior. As a grownup you may have felt similar pangs of dread when answering to your boss for a mistake, or stood before a judge in a courtroom. If your conscience is clear, elaborate explanations are unnecessary. Relax and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and your tongue. You have nothing to fear!
