When you are retired you may have the time to consider the obscure issue now and then. Heres an unimportant one that drives me a little crazy. It concerns modern, suburban housing. Why do we wrap our houses in vinyl siding that is supposed to look like wood, then put fake, nonfunctional shutters next to the windows. And heres the kicker, the vast majority of the fake shutters are way too small to cover those windows, even if the shutters actually shut. Who are we fooling with that?
