When you assign kids a chore thats not related to their own - TopicsExpress

When you assign kids a chore thats not related to their own personal space (like their own room, clothes or whatever) do you limit it to when they help make the messes? Like Aidans chore is dishes. The dishwasher ones. He is to load and unload them. When your kids do this, do you only make them do it when theyve participated in the dirtying of the dishes? Or say hes at school all day and the dishwasher needs to be loaded from lunch and breakfast ...do you have him load it? Or do you load it through out the day since youre the one who dirtied them? Am I making sense? Is having him do all the dishes that go on the dishwasher regardless of whether he is one of the ones who used them, slave labor? Is that laziness...or is that what having a chore is? Learning to do something no matter if you made the mess?
