When you call on Allah (swt) its like an invitation to help you. But every invitation has certain aspects that make it appealing. - Shaykh Hamza Yusuf Were more likely to accept an invitation when we know (and like) the person who invited us. If we continue to disobey Him and oppress or harm His creations, how are we earning His favour? Having said that, *no one* is perfect and free of mistakes but there is HOPE. This is where sincere repentance plays a role. Although some situations are trickier than others the prayer of tawbah is only 2 rakaats - so simple yet so significant! The key is to not only repent once but every single time we feel we have transgressed. All the sons of Adam are sinners and the best among the sinners are those who constantly repent. (hadith) Dont listen to shaytan who tries to trick you into losing hope in Gods mercy. Say, O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. (39:53)
