When you cant do a lot, you do a little... Increasingly, I have had the urge to foster again. The thing is, Maggies not too great at sharing her Mom with dogs that arent part of her pack (as weve learned several times dog-sitting). With our busy schedules and a Maggie, committing to a foster dog for however long it takes to get them adopted isnt a reality for us. Yes, still I had the itch. So I talked to the Hubster this week about how a little might go a long way. See I work with this great rescue, Lovers Not Fighters Pit Bull Rescue, and they frequently are in the position of needing to board their rescues due to a lack of foster homes. While we cant be one of those amazing families who offer their home up on a long-term basis, we can offer a little...And because we have the ability in our home to keep a foster dog 100% separate from our resident dogs, we have offered to be an occasional weekend foster...to give LNFs boarders a taste of home life and a break from the boarding facility...to give their amazing foster families a little break from the fostering gig when needed. Because when you cant do a lot, you do a little.
