When you have to change/ignore/redefine the text (regardless of, and irrespective of the Hebrew and Greek words the text is comprised of) - When you have to change/ignore/redefine history (regardless of, and irrespective of historical evidence presented in both biblical texts, extant texts and archeological finds and study)- When you have to change/ignore/redefine context (regardless of what it also says) - When you have to change/ignore/redefine grammar - When you have to change/ignore/redefine the culture to fit your thesis - to make your theological supposition (dogma, theory, doctrine) work . . . When you have to rationalize (attempt to make the unreasonable sound reasonable) your ideology . . . then your theory - doctrine - dogma (theological supposition) is WRONG! Because if you have to do SOME or ALL of those things to make your doctrine work . . . and you are still in the right, then only one conclusion can be drawn . . . It is God that must be WRONG! What are some of the ways we can spot and/or avoid this besides the above? 1) Get rid of man-made doctrine 2) Get rid of any doctrine that makes God (who doesnt lie) a liar 3) Dont try to understand God from your 3 dimensional understanding of life - accept that his ways are NOT your ways and His thoughts are NOT your thoughts - - - Let him be the 70X7 dimensional being He is (Just be in AWE!) 4) Get rid of any doctrines that impose man-made morality on God . . . (You have heard people say it: I couldnt worship a God that does ____ or allows _____) 5) Stop defying self by assuming that God follows your understanding - Remember that you are creation - He is CREATOR! 6) Take God out of the box that you may have put him in - where you have labeled and defined Him just like you would an insect on display in a science museum 7) Spend more time searching for the proper questions than you do searching for answers - ask yourself why instead of putting God in a file system type ideology 8) check every doctrine against the one Yeshua taught (the one that all of the Torah and Prophets are dependent on): Love God with all you got and love your neighbor
