When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. -Friedrich Nietzsche Revelations It’s only blind people who let Harsh words cause them dismay They believe they are perceptive But their eyes just betray They’re told a criticism and Their day is now “So bad!” They’re told how they do come up short And proceed to get mad They lose control of inner calm Because they don’t look close They want to get away but these Harsh words to me engross Every bit of hate I’ve gotten Negative feedback Revealed a piece of the speaker Their truth shed through attack Haters who do hate themselves And desperately lash out People who do not have faith And so they always doubt Miserable, pathetic wretches Filled with weakness, fear Who futilely defend themselves With words like “fag” and “queer” Egomaniacs who think About themselves all day And then point fingers in attempt To seem another way “Ugly” by the cold hearted And “rude” by the aloof “Gross” by out of shape smokers “Weird” by a boring goof None of these assessments have A negative effect There is no drama since I choose To observe and collect Information on the speaker To reveal *their* truth Instead of being a victim I choose to be a sleuth And use these supposed “barbs” as ways To pull the hiding veil Off the haters and cowards Whose attacks always fail Warrior Poet Wisdom
